Did we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and then retreat into the privacy of our prayer closet where we remain dormant in our faith? Maybe we visit with Him once or twice during the day, and then turn back to the world. Are we embarrassed to take Him where we go each day, or is it that we are ashamed to let others see that we say we love Him, but remain unchanged? The proof of our faith isn’t in what we say, but how we walk.

God’s will for our lives doesn’t just work for us, it works with us, or in other words, includes us. We are not the boss, nor are we just spectators in God’s plan, but active participants. Sometimes we forget to ask what His will is, and blindly get busy trying to do His spiritual work as we see fit; we begin our efforts only to find that we are working against Him, and that He is now having to perform His work in spite of us.

Have we confessed our sins, asked forgiveness, and pronounced ourselves believers in Jesus Christ, and yet are not transformed? Do we claim God’s grace, but do nothing more? Well, empty words are like faith without works, hollow and without substance. They are like love without the holding, kisses, and sacrificing of ourselves. We should do more than profess, but live what we have claimed.

What gives us the comfort and power needed to testify of Jesus Christ, and how is it that we witness to others? Some of us go into the world and deliver the gospel message verbally to those who haven’t heard it, or to those whose heart has been prepared to receive it, and then there are others of us who quietly go about preaching of Jesus simply by their day to day lives... witnessing by how they live them.

Do you feel called to serve the Lord, but just can’t seem to satisfy yourself in the answer to His calling? Do you answer “Here am I!”, and yet doubt the significance of what you are giving towards the effort? Well forget the grand desires you may have, and concentrate on giving all of yourself to Him, not to bring Him glory in the earthly sense, but in every little thing He asks of you. Do His will as He would have you do it.
