All in Diversity

How do we Christians view those of other denominations? How do the Christian churches of the East view those of the West, and vice versa? Why is it that the sheep presume that they can cull themselves when they do not own, but are themselves owned by the good shepherd?Jesus speaks of other herds that are not of the fold we know, and of all these herds being one flock; they are one flock because they follow one shepherd, not because they are of the same wool, or stature. Are we accepting of our shepherd’s other sheep?

Are you an individual? Do you see yourself as distinctly and physically individual? How about your personality? In fact, the one is what you are, and the other is who you are. As individuals we are referring to our physical selves, and although alike in many ways, God has made each of us unique. Our personalities, on the other hand are experienced more than seen, and so boundless in their nature that only God can truly understand them. When Jesus speaks in John 17:22-23, which of these is he referring to?

So often we think that there is but one way that we are called, and that God has a set process for leading us. We somehow get in our minds that there is but one way to serve God, and that if we don’t fit into the biblical walk exhibited by one of the twelve apostles then we are not correct in our faith. In fact, we are all unique and so is our relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
