Rejoice, and Exult in the Lord Thy God Always

God is our refuge not merely because we trust in Him, but because we rejoice in Him. We aren’t meant to simply be deliberate in our service of the Lord, no, we are meant to be exuberant, joyful, and triumphant towards Him, and in everything He does for us. How can we serve our Heavenly Father, or even our earthly one, out of love if there is no joy or emotion exhibited towards them as we do so? In everything we are to be thankful to God, and in our thanks there should be love, and we should exult in Him. Do we rejoice in our God when He has provided us with refuge, and stood guard over us against all enemies, and every worldly harm?

Rejoice, Pray, and Give Thanks Always

Whether facing trouble, pain, or times of great joy, and happiness, as Christians we are told to rejoice always, and to keep our faith strong enough to succeed in doing so we are encouraged to pray without ceasing. By praying in this way we can face whatever circumstances confront us. Then, once we have learned to rejoice in whatever we have experienced, we are told to faithfully give thanks to God for it. This is how Jesus lived, and how he teaches us to live. His life demonstrates the manner in which we are to walk in our life of faith while rejoicing, and drinking from the cup of God’s will.
