In the world there is such rancor, turmoil, hatred, and war, but in God, and Jesus Christ we find perfect peace. Though the world is frothing, and men are arguing, and striking out at one another in evil intent, our faith brings us the hope, calm, and love, of Christ’s peace. In Jesus we can find escape from the bitterness that we see and hear swirling around us each day, and by the grace of God we are provided His Son as an escape... are you ready to break away from the insanity?
If you have proclaimed your love for God, and Jesus Christ, then don’t make peace with evil, and don’t come to terms with sin. There is no room in your life for a peaceful coexistence with the very thing that desires to destroy you.
Do you pray for those around you who are sick, or lost? Do you wait on the Lord in prayer for those who are unrighteous, and don’t know enough to pray for themselves? Do you peel back the sin in your mind’s eye, and pray for the sinner beneath? Can you bring yourself to love the sinner while detesting the sin? does God punish the sin, or the sinners?
How are you walking through this life? Are you doing so while loving your family, perhaps some folks at church, and a few friends, but simply tolerating everyone else, or maybe even disliking some? We divide ourselves into groups... we belong to this church and not that one, we are from this town and not that one, we believe this and not that, we are this race and not that one, and the list goes on, and on. We love some, tolerate others, and dislike or even hate the rest. Does this describe you? Step back and take a good look in the mirror; be honest because your salvation depends on it.
