All in Night

Do we think that God doesn't see what we do under the cover of darkness? Well, think again because God is more than familiar with darkness. We associate God with light because He created it... He radiates it, and where it exists, darkness is overcome; so, if we only define darkness as the absence of light, then how do we explain the fact that prior to creation there was only darkness, when God was there. God sees us, and all that we do... even in the darkest night.

Do songs come to you in the night? In the dark moments of life are you inspired to write music? Perhaps in those times your instrument is a guitar, cymbals, a lyre, poetry, or maybe your voice, but it could easily be whatever other instrument God has blessed you with. If you are an architect perhaps it is a design, or a carpenter... a new and wonderful staircase, or as a chef a magnificent and delicious culinary delight. Whatever your instrument... only God brings song to us from within our suffering.

In faith, like in our daily life... we move from dawn to dusk and back to dawn again as we move through our days. God created light in our lives, and thus separated it from the darkness. Are you currently walking in the light of day, or enduring a night? Both are natural, and although we are much more comfortable in the light, we learn to lean on the Lord in the dark, and we trust in His comfort and protection as we sleep.
