All in Darkness
Are you just beginning your search for God? Maybe you are already somewhere along the way? Well, whether you are just beginning, or in the midst of your pilgrimage, there will be dark nights of the soul. These are times when You will collapse in the silence of God, and ask in loud voice “why have you forsaken me?” but rest assured that you are not alone, and He will never abandon you.
We live during the day in the light of the sun, and at night we endure the darkness, but do we walk in the spiritual light of Jesus Christ, and do we separate ourselves from the darkness that is not of Him? How do these two sources of light, the physical and the spiritual, differ in our lives?
In our lives we are in constant struggle against the dark and evil forces of Satan; how do we defend ourselves and drive him away? What is effective against him, and do we know how to use these tools we have been provided? To answer these questions we turn to Ephesians, and take solace and comfort in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Do you think that God doesn't see what we do under the cover of darkness? Well, think again because God is more than familiar with darkness. We associate God with light because He created it... He radiates it, and where it exists, darkness is overcome; so if you define darkness as the absence of light then prior to creation there was only darkness, and yet God was there. God sees us, and all that we do... even in the dark.
