All in Christianity

Are we true and resilient Christians, or does our faith require great care, and a very specific set of conditions in which to flourish?  Are we like a reed that must have constant water for it to survive, or a barrel cactus that stores the water of infrequent rains within itself, and endures long periods of drought? There are many who are fragile, and whimsical, in their faith, but those who are hearty serve God faithfully, even in the worst of times.

Are we Christian to our very heart, or are we only Christian by our own proclamation, and on our surface? It is one thing to be known as a Christian, but as God sees our heart, and our innermost thoughts what does He find there? Do we fear the thought of having our heart searched by God? Are we confident enough in our faith to ask that we be tested as well as searched?

Are you anxious to get to heaven? If you were on the verge of death would you just throw in the towel and give into it? Well, although heaven is our goal, our reward, and our wonderful anticipation, getting there prematurely isn’t what God desires for us to do. We have a purpose here just as Jesus did, so we are to serve that purpose until we take that last breath.
