Do we praise God enough? Does our adoration for Him bubble up in us as joyous song, or wonderful acclamation? God, is worthy of our praise; a praise that springs forth in jubilation from the love we harbor in our hearts for Him. We often shed tears of joy as we sing His praise... are we ready to lift Him up and let the tears flow today?
“Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright.”
Psalm 33:1 ESV
One of my favorite praise songs is the Revelation Song written by Jennie Lee Riddle by adapting the praise of Revelation 4 and 5 with her music. The music and lyrics move me as I sing them, but when I reach the chorus, I must raise my arms and face towards heaven as I sing...
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing praise to the King of kings
You are my everything and I will adore You“
Like all praise, this song lifts us along with our praise as it moves our souls. That is what praise is meant to do as it springs in loving adoration from deep within us; it is meant to glorify God, and Jesus, while bringing us into a heightened sense of worship. So, find a quiet place, put on your headphones, then click the link below, and stand before the throne of God as you listen... listen to the lyrics, the music, and your soul as it sings along...

Love, adoration, a recognition of who and what God and Jesus Christ are to us; this is what praise is. Our praise exhilarates us, surrounds us with scent of heaven, and fills out mouth with the sweet taste of honey.
“O Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you! Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!”
Psalm 141:1-2 ESV
Do we pray praise? Do we find that giving thanks leads us naturally into offering praise to God for his mercy, or to Jesus for enduring the cross for us? Read these words from the book of Exodus and see if they sound familiar to those you offer from your prayer closet... they are worthy of memorization, and being prayed as we
““Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?”
Exodus 15:11 ESV
Prayer:
Father, thank you for your mercy, grace, and every good thing in my life! Great are you in your goodness, and awesome in your power and glory! I praise you in the morning Lord, for the sun that climbs in the sky and lights my day. I praise you in my unceasing prayer each day for the blessings, deliverance, and sustenance you lovingly provide me. I praise you with my last waking breath for your diligence as your strong arm protects me as I sleep, and for your Holy Spirit who leads me into your presence in amazing dreams in which I sing Holy, Holy, Holy, are you my God who was, and is, and is to come. Your mercy is never ending, your redeeming grace flows in endless abundance through your Son Jesus, and in your arms I rest forevermore. In all things I give you thanks, and praise your name. I praise you in the sanctuary, my prayer, song, and with every instrument that brings forth sound... even the rocks, and waters about me.
“Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!”
Psalm 150:1-6 ESV
