God is our creator, and following the fall of Adam and Eve from grace in the Garden of Eden He has worked out the means of our redemption, and our salvation. His Son Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross, but wasn’t it God’s will that sent Him there? Since His crucifixion have we picked up our own crosses to follow Him? Do we do this because we believe or are we still waiting on God to say “come”? Believing becomes much easier once we realize that God formed us, provided us with a means of salvation, and that we will be living in His presence for eternity. But do we know who He is, or do we simply have faith and believe in Him like we would an unknown philanthropist or a mysterious benefactor?

Our prayers don’t just fade from the memory of God, they have substance, and can be held in the hand, placed in a bowl, and offered up with incense to Jesus, and God. Have you ever thought of that simple prayer you spoke as being worthy of saving? How about the ones you prayed in anger, or heartbreak, remorse, praise, or Thanksgiving? They are all borne in the hands of angels before the throne of God, and He values each one... they are your life, and they are the heart of your relationship with Him.

This morning I am dwelling on a particular thought regarding prayer, and that is the reality that we are truly blessed when we are able to bless others by our prayers. I also realize that while God is blessing us, He is blessing others through us. God gives us the ability to touch those around us in prayer, and in so doing allows them to touch us too… it is a revolving door of prayer in which we are both coming and going… touching, and being touched when we lay hands on one another.
