I am writing to you today in the English language, but what is your native tongue? From what country, race, or people do you hail? There are those of us from so many different nationalities who will read this devotional today, and long into the future; this is truly a missionary outreach to all the world. As Christians we know no borders, and there is no limiting language. The blood of Jesus Christ has made us one, and brought us together by that common calling of which Revelation speaks... we have been adopted into the people and priesthood of one Holy Kingdom!

So often we think that there is but one way that we are called, and that God has a single process for leading all of us. We somehow get in our minds that there is but one way to serve God too, and that if we don’t fit into the biblical walk exhibited by one of the twelve apostles then we are not correct in our faith. In fact, we are all unique in our relationship with the Lord through Jesus Christ.

Molding our souls into the image of God through prayer is the topic for this morning's devotional thought. Pastor E.M. Bounds says this of prayer... "It has everything to do with enriching, broadening, and maturing the soul's experience of God." He stresses this point further by writing this about the Christian... "Therefore, if he does not pray, he is not of the household of faith." Second Corinthians chapter 4 is a wonderful source for studying the change that is occurring within us as we mature as Christians. A verse which summarizes this conversion is verse 16...
