Do we realize that the fullness of God is available to us? Has anyone ever prayed for us and asked that we be granted spiritual power? Have they asked in prayer that Jesus dwell within us and that we be filled with the fullness of God? Well, if we are to follow the example set by the Apostle Paul then we should be praying and receiving that prayer, because this is precisely what he prayed for all those at the church in Ephesus. Fellow Saints, Pastors, Priests, Reverends, and Deacons, you should pray in this way for your fellow believers, parishioners, members, and churches today! Let’s listen to the apostle Paul…

Await the Fullness of Prayer

Today is the last day of September and this morning's devotion speaks of the fullness and boldness of prayer. This year is passing by quickly, and we are looking forward expectantly as we wait for Christmas to arrive. We wait on many things of faith during the year, just as the disciples of old did, but let’s focus today on how Jesus told his disciples to remain in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came. They were expected to sit tight, to wait, just as we are expected to wait until we receive those things of prayer that we are anticipating. Our opening scripture today will be Luke 24:49.

Praying expectantly in the fullness of our needs and desires

When we are in need of something miraculous to occur, or we want something that is so far above us that we believe it is just too great, or much, to ask for, do we temper our prayers, and ask God for what we believe is actually doable? Do we ask God for a lesser thing because we think it is possible for Him, and that He might be capable of providing it? Perhaps we believe we are unworthy, or that our true desire is presumptuous in nature, and so we weigh our prayer requests against who we think He is, and how much we believe He loves us, but this is only an indication of our lesser faith, and not how God wants us to come to Him, or ask of Him.
