When we rise in the morning, and first open our eyes, are we awakening to the world, or to God? Is our first thought of getting a cup of coffee (or juice) and beginning another day at work, or is it in thanksgiving to the Lord for this day with Him? What do our checklists look like, are they our own personal lists, or are they written for two (ourselves and the divine)? These answers depend on who you think you are.
Who are we, and what was it that God created us to accomplish? We have always asked ourselves why we were created, and what purpose we were meant to serve. There is no real answer to these two questions outside of our faith, and the Word of God, so what can be found there?
You think you are righteous, after all you have been working at it diligently for quite some time, maybe all your life, and yet you fail at pretty much the same frequency that you always have... what is wrong? Why is progress in your faith so slow, or stalled? I am going to ask you a simple question that might possibly drill to the heart of your struggle... Are you continuously seeking Jesus for yourself, or have you said to him “here I am Lord, I am yours.”?
