As a writer I love words, but sometimes the silence between them reveals more of their truth and emotion than I can ever express, and I feel them more perfectly as I silently breathe in and out amidst their absence. Easter has always been like that for me. I find the heartfelt completeness of my relationship with God and Jesus Christ between each word of scripture as I breathe and the tears well up. Today is Easter, Resurrection Sunday, and my own words will be few.
CHRIST HAS RISEN!!!
OH JOY TO ALL MANKIND!
The tomb is empty and Jesus has risen as He promised. Death and sin have been conquered forevermore. Let's walk quietly now in the newness of LIFE!
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
Romans 6:4 KJV
We will not look for the living among the dead because our savior sits at the right hand of God!
“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
Romans 8:34 KJV
And through Jesus we will worship God continually and eternally.
“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
Hebrews 13:15 KJV
Grace has found us.
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,”
Romans 3:23-24 ESV
Have a wonderful Easter Everyone, and breathe Him.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for your Risen Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for each breath I take as I shoulder my cross, and follow Him. Feel my heart this Easter Day as I breathe my prayers upon you, and know it is me who is breathing them out… these prayers you have so lovingly breathed as life into me.
Amen
“then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.”
Genesis 2:7
